Asunción Fernández
Madrid-born lyric soprano studied with maestro Pedro Gilabert, continuing further with the Italian maestro Vincenzo Spatola; currently, she is studying with maestro Francisco Ortiz. Her vocal training is completed by courses of interpretation, Physical theatre, history of theater and dance with different teachers.
In years 2005/2006 and 2006/2007, she attended at the “Lyric-workshop & Master Classes” at the “Carlos III University” in Madrid, receiving classes from maestros such as Ana Luisa Chova, Dalmacio Gonzalez, Juan Antonio Álvarez Parejo and Dante Mazzola, among others.
Among her performances of zarzuela, highlights the leading roles in “Gigantes y cabezudos”, “La verbena de la Paloma”, “El dúo de La Africana”, “El Barbero de Sevilla” “Los Gavilanes” and “La del manojo de rosas”, among others.
In her operatic repertoir highlights the leading role in “Suor Angelica” by Puccini and Morgana in “Merlin”, by Albéniz.
In 2008, she was finalist in the International Singing Competition Ciudad de Logroño.
Jorge López
Born in Madrid, started his vocal training with Italian maestro Vincenzo Spatola and is currently pupil of maestro Francisco Ortiz. In parallel to his studies in piano, harmony and music theory, he also studied theatrical interpretation at the “Cuarta Pared” Actor’s School. He has improved his training and skills attending masterclasses with the tenor Dalmau Gonzalez or the soprano Ana Luisa Chova, Dante Mazzola (Teatro & Accademia Alla Scala, Milano), Gabriella de Esteban (conductor and teacher at the MUSIKENE School, San Sebastián) or the “repertoire specialist” Juan Antonio Álvarez Parejo (regular accompanist of the Spanish mezzosoprano Teresa Berganza), among others.
Professionally, he currently works, as singer and actor, with several Artistic Companies in Spain, in performances of both opera and zarzuela. Highlights his expertise in Art song (lieder), Oratorio and Russian Repertory.
Laura Godoy
Argentinian-Spanish singer, she began her musical training in Argentina studying with mezzosoprano Lucía Boero and soprano Carmen Favre. In Spain she attended Master Classes with Douglas Hines, Victoria de Los Ángeles, Dalmau González, María Orán, Suso Mariategui and Carlos Chausson and developed operatic repertoire with maestros Jorge Rubio, Riccardo Bini and Mac Sawyer (“Teatro Real de Madrid”), and maestro Andrés Juncos (“Teatro Campoamor”). She studied in Italia with maestro Vincenzo Spatola and in Spain she improved his technique with teachers Pedro Lavirgen and Francisco Ortiz.
EIn 2009, invited by Giancarlo del Monaco, Artistic Director of the Tenerife International Opera Festival, she played the role of Thisbe in the opera "La Cenerentola" and Apollonia in "La Canterina".
In her operatic repertoir highlights her interpretations in the roles of Zita (“Gianni Schichi”), Maddalena (“Rigoletto”), Orlofsky (“Die Fledermaus”), Mistress Quickly (“Falstaff”) or The Gingerbread Witch (“Hansel & Gretel”), among others.
Daniel Rey-Grimau
He completeted his “Advanced Studies of guitar” at “The Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid”. In parallel studies opera singing in Milan with maestro Vincenzo Spatola and in Madrid with tenor Pedro Lavirgen. He was member of the “Choir of RTVE”, and currently he is, by public competition, member of the “National Choir of Spain”.
His repertoire includes the lyric tenor roles of the operas "Tosca", "Traviata", "Madama Butterfly", "Macbeth", etc. He performed at the “Gran Teatro de Huelva” the role of Tybalt in “Romeo and Juliet”, opera by Gounod, for Euroscena company. He takes part in numerous staged concerts in Spain, with the main arias of the repertoire, for Caprici and Interopera companies. In the fields of chamber music and concerts, he performs many recitals, and also has taken part in concert series such as "Summer Classics" and "Music in the churches of Madrid".
Alberto Salinas
Music teacher (piano, music theory, accompaniment and transposition), as well as a very experienced professional in music pedagogy. He has studied with teachers Miguel Zanetti, Camilo Williart, Rosa de Miguel, Águeda de Haro and Emilio Molina, Vincenzo Scalera and Francisco Poyato in Spain, Hungary, Italy and England.
He has been teacher in the “Professional Conservatory of Classical Ballet” and dance accompanist at the “Morrison School of Dance” in Nottingham (UK) as well as at “Marta de la Vega School” and the “National Dance Company”.
Specialized in piano accompaniment, his repertoire includes many operas, zarzuelas, art-song, ballet, chamber and jazz music. Usually collaborates with “Matritum Cantat Choir”, “The Mushi children's Choir” and “Opera Singers Ensamble”.
Aram Asatryan
Born in Yerevan (Armenia), began his musical studies when he was 8. He was pupil of Stela Altunyan at the "Sayat Nova" School of Music in Yerevan. He continued his musical studies at the “Romanós Melikyán” Professional Institute of Music, in Yerevan, with Professor Yuri Pogosyan. Later he continued his studies with violinist and professor Surén Hajnazaryan at the “Komitas” Conservatory of Music in Yerevan, where he obtained the “High Degree of Violin Teacher” with highest honors. He was Professor of the "Serenad" Chamber Orchestra of Yerevan, and Titular Professor at the “National Symphony Orchestra of Armenia”.
He has participated in numerous concerts as a violinist and music festivals in various cities of Armenia, Russia, and Spain with various orchestras and ensembles. He is currently violin teacher at the Music Education Centre “Katarina Gurska", concertmaster of the "Matritum Cantat" Orchestra and violinist of the "Sueños de Nápoles" ensemble.
José Miguel Baena
Madrid-born baritone, he began his training in Germany with Ruth Frenk, and continued in Spain with Cuban soprano Mayda Galano and Russian baritone Boris Godin. He is currently studying and developing his repertoire with pianist Josu Okiñena. He has also attended master classes with Thomas Hampson and works regularly with baritone Joan Pons.
In November 2007 he made his debut playing Giorgio Germont rol in La “Traviata” at the Gran Teatro de La Habana, and was presented in April 2011 at the “Auditorio Nacional de España” on an art-song recital with works by Mahler and Tchaikovsky, accompanied by the Atalanta Ensemble. In 2012/2013 Season he played the roles of Michele in “Il Tabarro” and Sharpless in “Madama Butterfly” by Puccini, as well as the baritone's part in the oratorio “Carmina Burana”. On June 2013 he will sing Papageno in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” in Almería.
Chantal Garsan
She studied at the "Arturo Soria Conservatory" in Madrid and began her artistic career with various companies performing opera and zarzuela as well as concerts throughout the Iberian Peninsula, Ceuta and Melilla. She improved her vocal studies and skills with teachers Pablo Garzón, Francisco Ortiz, Sadot Lugones, Cristina Carlin and Vincenzo Spatola. Besides, she studied drama with Jorge Saura. She has also attended masterclasses with teachers Ian Baar, Miguel Zanetti, Ileana Cotrubas and Alfredo Kraus.
Outstanding in her repertoire roles: Micaela ("Carmen"), Liù ("Turandot"), Mimì ("La Bohème"), Cio-Cio San ("Madama Butterfly"), Violetta ("La Traviata"), Donna Elvira ("Don Giovanni"), Nedda ("I Pagliacci") and "Suor Angelica." In Zarzuela she has played the leading roles in: "El Huésped del Sevillano”, “La Dolorosa”, “La Parranda”, “Luisa Fernanda” (Duquesa Carolina), “El Barbero de Sevilla”, “La del Manojo de Rosas”, “La Leyenda del Beso”, “La Corte de Faraón, “Adiós a la bohemia”, “Los Gavilanes” and “El canastillo de Fresas”; in the most prestigious Spanish halls and theaters and with great acclaim from both the public and the critics.
Napoleón Domínguez
He began his musical studies at age 9 with Professor Julio César Rodríguez. In 1996 he won the national qualifying to represent El Salvador in the Iberoamerican TV Program of Telecinco "Bravo Bravissimo" in Spain, obtaining the first place. Later he continued his training with Mario Farrar, Joseph Karl Doetsch and Gladys Moctezuma.
With the National Opera of El Salvador he participated in several recitals and performed the opera roles of "Goro" in "Madama Butterfly", Beppe in "I Pagliacci" and Gaston in "La Traviata". In 2005 he won the “Beca Fantel al Talento Salvadoreño", which allowed him to study singing and improve his vocal technique in Madrid. In 2011 and 2012 he participated as soloist in the “XVII Concert of Padre Arrupe Foundation” at the “Auditorio Nacional” in Madrid. In 2012 and 2013 he played the role of Goro in "Madama Butterfly" with the Opera de Catalunya Jove.
Montserrat Sánchez
Born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, she began her musical studies at the Conservatory of Music "Jesús Guridi" of that city, ending her “Advanced Studies of Singing” with honors, under the direction of soprano María Ángeles Rodríguez.
She completed her training, taking classes with such distinguished professors as Teresa Berganza, Ana Luisa Chova, Isabel Penagos, Carmen Bustamante, María Coronada Herrera, Dalmau González, Mark Hastings, Gerd Türk, Kayoko Tada and Ileana Cotrubas, among others.
She has received classes from maestro Dante Mazzola (Internal conductor at the Teatro Alla Scala and teacher at the Accademia Alla Scala, Milano) and as well she works repertoire with Juan Antonio Alvarez Parejo.
HShe has given numerous recitals in the Basque Country, Extremadura, Castilla y León, La Rioja and Madrid. She also has taken part in several anthologies of Zarzuela.
